August 1st is when we enter that true part of summer where you walk outside and are hit by a brick wall of heavy hot air. You know what I mean if you live in the south or a more tropical area. Don't despair because I have some tips and recommendations to turn the cruel summer into a cool summer.
We all know the basic female survival kit for summer includes a great sundress, comfy swimsuit, hygiene products that can withstand the high temps and something to quench your thirst. I've got all those things covered in the below pictures and links.
This dress comes in every color under the rainbow and is a great summer staple because you can dress it up or down. Check it out in the following link.
Here is another great summer dress option from Amazon that is a great price point with many pattern and color options and it is easy to pack for travel. By the way, it is a super soft cotton material!
Now that we have something cute, cool
and comfy to wear to dinner, you also need a great bathing suit and cover-up like these:
We have our day to night attire covered so let's talk about a couple of my recently discovered favorite summer products. I love all of the Native products. They smell great and are paraben and aluminum free. My summertime go to is this deodrant & body spray. The coconut scent automatically gives beach vibes. If you are at the beach, you will definitely need some sunscreen and a refreshing beverage. I love to use Zo Daily Power Defense under my sunscreen for an added layer of protection during the hot summer days. And lately, I have been making some mocktails and cocktails with this Cranberry Watermelon juice from Ocean Spray. It is delish if you add a little club soda or throw in some vodka or tequila for a beach or pool day happy hour.
But wait, there's more! I saved the best for last. After a long summer day in the hot sun you are going to be exhausted and will love cuddling up in these cooling, (YES, I said COOLING) pajamas. They are cooling because the material is made of bamboo. So no more night sweats! They have different styles and colors at a reasonable price, just don't put them in the dryer because the material is delicate.
Here is the link if you want check out the options. Obviously, my favorite is the leopard print.
If you have any questions or opinions about any of these products I'd love to hear your feedback. As always, thanks for reading and stay spunky!
