T-minus two days left until VDay, but don’t stress! I have picked a few thoughtful and useful gifts on Amazon Prime for your significant other, gal pal or kids. Order today and you should be okay. Did you know that Amazon also has a gift packaging option? If you don’t have Amazon Prime or want to pay for express shipping, another fun idea that everyone can use are some fun soaps and lotions.
While Valentine’s Day isn’t a huge holiday, I still like to give a small gift. Another idea is an organizational item. Organizational gifts are nice for Valentine’s Day because unlike candy or flowers which fade, these are gifts that will make your life easier. These gifts keep on giving! Pajamas and socks are also great gifts for any age or gender. If you need more ideas, check out my page on Amazon under my Idea List for Valentine’s Day at
As I mentioned above, bath products are another fab gift for any age or gender. Great soaps and lotions are easy to find anywhere, but I like to support local. We have a great local chain here in the 901 with some fabulous smelling/long-lasting homemade soaps, lotions, and other self-care products. Let me introduce you to Buff City Soap. We have locations in Midtown-Memphis and Bartlett. They also have an online store. www.buffcitysoap.com
I have been purchasing soap from this company for a few years. One of my favorite smells is the Magnolia because it makes me think of summer in the South. I also recently grabbed a new scent, Rosemary Mint that I can’t wait to try. If you are buying for a female, I have to say my favorite product is the shower oil because you can use it in place of a lotion and it is non-greasy unlike some other shower oils out there. It is also great for shaving your legs. If you are looking for something for a guy, I recommend the Frecious Beast scent. They also have this secent in a lotion stick which is really cool and non-greasy.
I especially wanted to share some info about this company because not only do I love their products, but I recently attended an event at Buff City and met the CEO. After learning more about the company and listening to the CEO, I can tell you that he is really passionate about this business and has a love for community. It is one thing to have a great product, but to know the company has a solid foundation just puts the icing on the cake.
As a final thought and referencing the love of community idea, I think sometimes we get so wrapped up in retail and social media it is easy to forget the purpose behind Valentine’s Day. While all these items are great, Valentine’s Day isn’t about spending money and you don’t have to give anything that requires money to show love. Your personal time and attention is worth more than any gift you can ever buy. Maybe just stop for an afternoon, x out a few hours on your schedule and spend some quality time with your loved one. If you want to show your love on a larger scale and have a love of community there are tons of ways to pay it forward. Check out some local non-profits, grab your gal pals or significant other and sign up for a volunteer shift! I hope this gave everyone some helpful ideas and you all have a lovely Valentine’s Day!
