I hope everyone is having a great summer. I wanted to share with you some fun Memphis spots I recently visited. If you are looking to work out, have a girls night or do something fun with your family, the 901 has tons of fun options throughout the whole city. I posted a few pictures at the end of the blog to put a visual with these descriptions of the fun places.
First up, we have game night! What do you get when you have a room full of bloggers blind-folded and hand-cuffed? You have The Breakout Games! This interactive game is located off Germantown Parkway in Bartlett, TN. What sets The Breakout Games apart from similar forms of entertainment is the uniqueness of the game options. They go above and beyond to make the games realistic. We were all really blind-folded and hand-cuffed with real hand-cuffs. Then they led us to a room where we had to escape in a certain amount of time by finding clues, solving puzzles, using codes and locks. It would be a great thing to do for a family night, girls night out or team building event.
Another great local venue for a family night out, girls night or team building is a place called Board & Brush. I was invited there by the sweet owners to check out the place and bring a friend. We had a blast and I can’t wait to go back with family and friends. I think this would be a super fun thing to do during the holidays to make fun holiday themed decor and memories.
My friend made a sign for her patio and I made a piece to put on my kitchen table for decor. They also have classes where you can make your own door mats. They supply everything and have big tables so you could have probably 6-8 people at one table. You can bring in drinks and snacks too. They also play fun music videos to keep up the energy while you are working on your projects. The sign options to choose from are endless.
The final local venue review isn’t for entertainment, it is a new work-out spot. We all want to work out during the summer to get in shape so we can wear shorts and sun dresses to deal with the Memphis humidity. Deep River Fit is a great new work out spot located off of Broad Ave behind WiseAcre Brewing. I recently attended one of the work outs with some bloggers. We had a great time and it is a great workout. It is similar to CrossFit but a little more room for individuality. The owner changes up the workouts so people can push themselves but go at your own pace while still being in a group setting. We also did some partner exercises which are always fun and motivating. If you are looking for a full body workout and to use some weights, Deep River might be a good workout home for you.
Thanks for reading my reviews and I hope this gives some ideas on things to do in the 901. Check out the pic collage below of all the fun I had at these events.
This is a departure from your fashion posts, and it's a wonderful idea to share new places you have visited with others. By this time of summer, many are out of ideas for new places to try. Good job on choosing places and describing the experience well.
